Alongside many nice little cameras and other DSLRs, the CP+ 2010 had on display some vintage cameras ranging from your most common Leica M3 or strange Gami 16 with its Zoom (1955) to some pretty heavy underwater models or aerial Cameras like the Japanese Type 99 (1939). But to my eyes the most amazing piece of Camera was without a doubt the Thornton Pickard Photographic Rifle Mark III aerial gun from 1915. Granted this Camera rifle may not be the best camera to use on a day-to-day basis, but if you are looking for some respect while covering an event, the Thornton Pickard Photographic Rifle Mark III is exactly what you need!

Back in 1971 on the Apollo 15 Mission, Nasa already proved its love to the Japanese Camera manufacturer by using one of their model, a modified Nikon Photomic FTn to get stunning picture from the Moon, and since then, The US based National Aeronautics and Space Administration or NASA kept and still use Nikon cameras for their missions. And what you are seeing now below in the gallery is a display of all models used by Nasa including the Nikon Photomic FTn, then in 1980 the F3, in 1991 the F4 and F4s, in 2008 the D2XS and in 2009 with the order of several Nikon D3S including AF-S NIKKOR 14-24mm f2.8G ED Lens. Among the latest Casio announcement made during last PMA was the presentation of 2 new Casio compact point and shoots with the Casio EX-G1 , a ruggedized and waterproof 12.1Mpix Camera (Official announcement here) and the EX-10HG a 12.1Mpix Camera with a 10x optical Zoom and Hybrid-GPS including both your average GPS and accelerometer-based assistance when GPS signal is not available. Another cool thing that I was anxious to see is the Casio Digital Art Frame scheduled to be released to the US market later this spring. Our 10.2” WSVGA picture frame sports 2GB of internal memory, a SD/SDHC slot, Wifi BG and a dedicated “Art” mode that will tweak your pictures with 7 different effects ranging from Sepia to a Paint effect. As you will see in the picture gallery below, the Paint Effect if indeed quite nice and I personally like it. Casio also demonstrated some nice little usages of their digital frame when hung on a wall, displaying some kind of retro clock with one of your pictures in the background of a nice little calendar.
